Hello and Welcome to Castival. This is a brand new podcast where we get amazing guests to come and pitch their dream music festival. I’m Matt Hoss and I’m the host. I will be there to interview, to analyse and get to the depths of why they think that their festival is the best. We will be talking about music, camping and why we love the music that we do. It’s not just a music appreciation podcast, it’s a podcast looking at the things we’re passionate about.

Holy shit, we have FRANK TURNER on the podcast! A rare instance in which we have on someone who has been regularly picked by other Castival guests! Wow! The British punk singer/songwriter on our show to pitch his dream festival, as well as discuss his brand new album. You also have a chance to see matt get overly-excited about a Bruce Springsteen tattoo when we only had 2 mins remaining. A true legend!

The end of season 5 is here and we're going out with our a first live special in Canterbury's Gulbenkian Theatre. We welcome on BBC 5 Live Presenter and Welsh comedy superstar ELIS JAMES, who pitches his passionate music festival.
Elis divulges his musical history, from CAN being banned in his house, to awkward moments with Jonny Marr, and talking about tea and toast with The Beatles. We talk about his unique festival "Music Festival (Elis)" and the use of unlimited crockery. A truly funny episode with great audience flaw fillers.
Thank you to Elis, thank you to Becky Lees for booking it and thank you to all the wonderful staff at the Gulbenkian Theatre.
